My ‘Can’t Live Without’ Drugstore Beauty Products

Absolutely one of my favorite things in life is beauty products. From a very young age anytime I went into a store that had a beauty aisle I was picking up a product. At 7 that was usually a hot pink, sparkly lipgloss and honestly that hasn’t changed much over the years. Fun fact: I own about 50 pink lip products, no exaggeration. I'll do a post on my faves one day. Anyways, today I wanna give you the scoop on my absolute favorite, can’t live without them beauty products that you can buy at the drugstore.

Now I love a product that works well and that is affordable and easily accessible. Sephora is amazing but going in there can put a real dent in your bank account - I’m a VIB Rouge member so I know what I’m talking about. Running into a Walgreens or Target for affordable and bomb.com products will always be an ideal situation.  These five products are ones that I have used for years and buy over and over again. I seriously love them that much.

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Primer Mascara

Who leaves the house without mascara? Not me, that's who. Mascara is the one must-have item that I always wear no matter where I’m going or what I’m doing because it simply makes me look alive. Yes, even at the beach and at the gym. It opens up your eyes and brightens up your face. It’s a necessity at all times. Mascara primer is a game-changing product. This primer goes on white and just like any other primer gets your canvas ready for your products. It lifts and separates your lashes while building up the volume without any kind of clumpy buildup.

I usually do one, sometimes two, coats of this primer on both my top and lower lashes. Once you start using this you honestly cannot live without it. Your lashes just don’t look the same without this initial foundation to your eyes.

Ardell Glamour Lashes - #113 Black

Clearly, I love my eyes and I love popping lashes. False lashes are the next step in achieving the perfect flutter. I personally only buy lashes from the drug store. They are affordable, easy to buy, and very comfortable to wear.  I don’t have to feel bad when I have to throw them away as a result of accidentally sleeping in them on a drunken night where they bend up and get weird. I also have very sensitive skin and eyes so I don’t like to use things that I put on my eyes too many times to avoid irritation.

Ardell is a great brand of lashes with about 49146958403 different styles to choose from. Since discovering the #113 style it has become my absolute favorite style to wear. These have become my go-to lashes for day and night time looks. I can wear them on a low key day without shadow or liner. The band is really thin, light and flexible so they are very comfortable to wear all day. They are fluffy, not too long, but are a great little fan that gives your eyes some flair for night time as well. They are amazing and totally my style.

E.L.F. Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder - Turks & Caicos

I honestly can’t tell you how many times I have bought this duo. I never do my makeup without this bronzer, EVER. The powders are creamy, blend-able, and the PERFECT shades. The bronzer has a slight shimmer and gives your cheeks a nice brightening effect on top of your contour. The color is not too orange or red toned but gives you warmth all over your skin. The blush side of this duo is a soft, pretty rose pink. It can be worn very subtly or built up with a few layers to pack more of a punch. They are both incredibly gorgeous.

Maybelline Face studio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter - 100 Molten Gold

This highlighter is going to turn you into a beautiful, gleaming, glowing goddess. When I found this product, in my opinion, I found the best drugstore highlighter on the market. It’s bright, highly pigmented and lays beautifully on the skin. When I use this highlighter I hit all of the high points of the face and bring it down onto my collarbones and shoulders to brighten my entire décolletage.

NYX Slim Lip Pencil

I think in the past lip liners have gotten a bad rep. But I cannot even begin to explain why they are so important when doing your makeup. They define your lips and prevent your lipsticks and glosses from bleeding out over the edges. They act as a base for your lipstick and can keep your lips looking filled in even if some product has rubbed off. These liners are super affordable and they come in a plethora of colors. They are easy to sharpen and apply smoothly on the lips. I have a bunch of these pencils and love them so much.

Woo, there you have it, my must-have drugstore beauty products that I can’t, and quite frankly never want to, live without. I hope you enjoyed my insight on these products and give them a try yourself. I'm absolutely positive that you will become just as obsessed as I am with them. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions down in the comments. Let’s geek out together.

Until next time.

XO,

Adriana Alicia
